Hi,

I run into a problem installing Exponential 3.7.2. When I run the setup I get the following message:

"1. Missing database handlers
Your PHP does not have support for all databases that Exponential support."

I'm runing Debian 3.1 (testing), apache(1.3.34-1), mysql-server-4.1(4.1.15-1), php4-mysql(4.4.0-4), etc.

I believed that php4-mysql was the package needed to provide the database handle. Which pakage do I need or what do I nedd to configure first?

Thanks
Hiamal

Is this really a problem so that you can't go on? The installer brings this message if the postgres support isn't available on your system. Isn't there a message like this some lines further?

Have a nice evening

Hi,

Yes it is a problem because even if the Exponential setup finds that there is mysql running it can't see the Exponential database I previosly created.

I'm not runnig postgresql because I'm more familiar whit mysql.
I did this befor on Debian Woody and the early release of Debian Sarge without a problem. Thats why I'm confused now.

Thanks

Hm, I have a similar installation with debian. Have you installed phpmyadmin or something else using a database? So you could test if other applications can connect mysql correctly. There have been some issues with a changed mysql protocoll (but I don't know in deep).

Sorry, perhaps someone else can help more
