When I think about it, one reason might actually be that the display of a forum does not invite browsing. When I compare this to your standard flat style boards the display of the last reply including the topic line is just too much. When I visit boards, I like to browse thread topic lines. Here it just seems a bit too confusing, so I almost never do it. Anybody else feels the same?
