Why is my new class not visible?

I've created a new class in the content group. The class ID is 31. I've made a copy of the templates line_class_2 and full_class_2 to line_class_31 etc. I renamed the fields in the new templates.
I filled a new record to be published in the frontpage. Whatever I do, I don't see the new class.

I've deleted the cahce files. Changes in existing classes are working fine.
I've setup EZ for multi siting and have a seprate cache for every site.
What can be wrong?

Where did you put your new templates?

They should be in

/desing/(yourdesign)/override/templates/node/view/

Does it fetches standard template? Or you just see empty page?

Thanks all. The problem was indeed the role as described in the response of Karsten.
