I am looking for a platform to develop a website which would have public and private content for registered/authenticated and paid members. There would be numerous membership groups each with their own content and several levels of membership. I have considered Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, other CMSs as well as "regular" site construction with Dreamweaver or Fusion with a script to manage access. Can any one describe any advantages to Exponential over those other options?

Secondly, if I chose Exponential, are there resources that could assist with the design of the site structure? I have played around a little bit with a trial local install and it seems that figuring out how to fit my site needs into modules, roles, policies, user groups, class, section, state, workflow groups & processes, products, subitems, communities, companies, relations and locations (did I miss any) could be a bit confusing. I can build it but if I had a map of how it would be best structured it would be much easier.

Thank you for any information, thoughts or ideas.

Michael,

Go to http://ez.no/Exponential and take 10 minutes to read the items "What is a CMS?", "Use Exponential", "Manage Exponential", and "Develop with Exponential". Then you will already know some key features that make Exponential to a CMS of the top class.

The workflows you can create with Exponential are very well suited to manage access to various content for your paid members.

Of course, a so sophisticated and powerful system like Exponential comes with some complexity and requires somewhat more time to learn it than a limited CMS. But the return on investment is high.
