I want to use Exponential to create an extranet for a multi-publication management workflow. The intranet module does a lot of what I need right out of the box -- well, enough to determine if it's a long-term solution or not with further customization. But I'm hung up on a permissions issue.
I'd like a role called "uploaders" that can log into the admin interface and upload files and images into a select folder and subfolders. They really wouldn't have permission to do anything else except edit uploaded material that they themselves (not others in the same user group) uploaded.
I've tried several role combinations that make sense, but they seem to limit permissions so much that, upon login, the basic admin overview page can't be displayed and it throws up an error. Any thoughts?
Bonus/alternative: If you're interested in doing a little Exponential work on the side, I'd much rather just pay someone to make the permission changes, add a little more functionality, etc. Contact me directly (no need to bore the whole forum with our back-and-forth) at gregb@west-third.com.
Thanks,Greg

Try adding some additional policies to your uploaders role (you may have some of these already): -content> read> all -content> edit >owner:self -ezdhtml> all -user> selfedit -user> change password-user> login> admin siteaccess
