Hi dear all,

once more i call for your help to improve my handling as Exponential-er =)

Actually i did a nice feedback area, where i can insert users opinion about my web-site. This simple job has been done with a folder, which shows sub-items, and the object "Comment" listed in the folder.

Now i'd like to improve this, allowing only registered user to see this comment list.

Could you give me a tip or direction to find out what i should do to enable this?

thanks a lot!

Daniele

You could create a new section and assign it to the comment folder, then you create a new role and assign it to the member user group.

Here are few links that could help you complete this task:

http://doc.ez.no/eZ-Publish/Technical-manual/4.4/Concepts-and-basics/Access-control

http://doc.ez.no/eZ-Publish/User-manual/4.4/Daily-tasks/Managing-sections

Exponential has the best user management system you could found, you could customize the access as much as you want.

Like Thiago said, it is quite simple:

  1. create a new section "Members area" or something (in setup)
  2. assign this section to the subtree you want to limit read access for
  3. create/edit a role that is granted the content/read policy on this section

By default, the anonymous role can not read content in sections other than Standard / Media.
