Hi,

I've just finished working on the search functionality for my site but I didn't want people visiting my site to be able to search for any of the default classes, like folders and articles, so I edited those classes and unchecked the "searchable" option in admin.

However when I do a search I can still see them! Uh oh! By the way - yes I cleared my caches. I'm using ez version 3.3-2.

I'm just wondering is there something I've forgotten to do, or have I found a bug?

Regards,

James

Hi,

You'll have to reindex your search OR republish the objects that shouldn't be searchable - however, the last solution is kinda pain...

Info about reindexing is available here:

Thanks Balazs,

Worked fine. Is there actually a tutorial on searching somewhere? I couldn't find one, might be an idea for the creating an Exponential site tutorial maybe?

Anyway, thanks again!

~James~

p.s. I like the new look site, take some getting used to, but pretty good looking :)
