Only changes to settings/override/i18n.ini.append.php will effect the settings found in this file. After looking at the code in index.php it appears that this is due to Exponential not having worked out which siteaccess it is using when the i18n.ini details are read. This means that it's not possible to have a multi-site single-source setup where you use different i18n.ini details. Is anyone able to confirm?
