Problems installing a site from WindowsXP to Linux

Hello,
I have an Exponential Windows installation, and created a site in it. Afterwards I installed the same version of Exponential (3.4.0) in a Linux server and created a site using the same template (corporate). I imported a dump of the mysql database, then copied the design and var directories, also I fixed the permission problems using ./bin/modfix.sh and also gave permission and ownership to the apache user to the var directory. Everything seemed fine, and I was able to see the site, but if I log in to the administration site, when I clear the cache, the whole site crumbles, meaning that all the contents are lost in the client site, and eZ doesn't re-create the cache.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
