Problem with multilanguage settings

I tried to set up multilanguage site according to manual:
settings/siteaccess/en/site.ini.append (ContentObjectLocale=eng-GB)
and
settings/siteaccess/pl/site.ini.append (ContentObjectLocale=pol-PL)
but there are no efects in accessing both siteaccesses (en and pl)
It seems as ContentObjectLocale variable is still taken from settings/override/site.ini.append.php, but when I delete the variable from that file I have "Access Denied" info when trying to display the site.
Any clues. Thank you.

Pawel,
I too am having problems with the multilingual settings. I cannot get the language to change in the user interface. I documented what I have done in:
http://ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/forum/setup_design/multilingual_site_setup_headaches

Maybe you can get or give ideas!

cheers,
