Hi,Is there a way to use Exponential as a Document Management System.?
Is it possible to integrate Exponential with other databse driven applications so that, while importing content in to Exponential, some of the attributes defined in Exponential can be populated from external database
For example,i have a MemberList Table in a external application.
Can i create a content class, which can integrate with MemberList Table in the external application?
When i create content , the attribute values can be selected from existing values, instead of user entering values.

Hi,
ez can be used as a document managment system (if you think you performance is critical, do some benchmark).
You don't need to hook into external databases for that.
However, that's quite easy to create a custom attribute that takes its datas from an external table. Some of the countries extensions do it like that.
I've integrated ez with external CRM without problems. On the contribs, have a look at the phplist extension. What Bruce has done with phplist is probably quite close to what you want to do.
