Hi, I've got an image being blocked by Firefox Plugin Adblock Plus, because of this:
* page-url: /add_ons
* image for an "Article": the one that is going to be blocked
* The "guilty" filter rule:

/[\W_]ad[^=&](banner|click|flow|frame|ima?ge?|log|serv(er|e)?|stream|type|view|vert(ising|isement)?|v|js|trix|xchange|wrapper)?s?[\W\d_]/

* When rendering the page, the image is being renamed to something like this:

/var/ ... /add_ons/845-2-ger-DE/add_ons_medium.png

The problem with the image is that it's name is mandatory and unchangeable.
Ok, I could update the page url, but that's not what I wanted. What else can I do? Take the image and put it in the article text? Then I've got the problem that I can't get exactly the alignment than the other pages.
Thanks for any advice

Michael

Adblock Plus doesn't block anything by itself, in only obeys the filters you have in your list. I am not sure where you got this filter from but first for filter subscriptions on http://adblockplus.org/en/subscriptions certainly don't have it.

Hi, that's not the problem, I know how I can prevent Adblock Plus doing this. The point is, what can I do on the server side to improve this? I can't put instructions on my pages telling users how to adjust their Adblock Plus settings in order to view certain graphics on my page. ;-) Nobody would follow these.

Meanwhile I actually changed my mind and changed the url from add-ons to Extras. Grace to the search tool I found all the pages containing the word "Add". :)

I don't think anybody but you uses this crappy filter. I don't know where it came from but no recommended filter subscription for Adblock Plus has it. So I don't think this is an issue. Otherwise - authors of filter subscriptions are quite responsive, if you report the false positive they will usually fix the problem in the filter list.
