EZPub 3.1 not displaying default override?

Trying to grasp this one... According to the instructions I read at sitepoint, I should be seeing a different template, with no login requirements, but I'm not.

Caching is disabled.
DefaultAccess points to the correct (down to capitalization) template override.
CheckValidity and RequireUserLogin are both set to false.
AvailableSiteAccessList and SiteAccessList arrays both include the new override.

In the site.ini.append file, the login requirement is also set to false.

Currently, the site displays a request to log in, with no place to actually do so, along with the admin banner. If, however, I go to the specified default and index page (index.php/cyclura/content/view/full/45 (a known good article) it comes right up with no login requests or anything else...

Any thoughts??
