Can someone please help me with this because I've tried everything but nothing works and it's getting pretty frustrating. I haven't found any docs or forum post that deal with this issue. I know about the TopDrop extension but I prefer to to used a more updated template/code.

Try editing the menu template, located under /design/templates/parts/double_top.tpl
With the template documentation (http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/4_x/reference/template_control_structures) this shouldn't be hard.

If you need more specific help, please provide more details.

I still do not understand documentation. I'm just trying to fetch the sub items of the second menu level. I want to be able to hover over top menu to reveal second level menu and hover over second level menu to reveal the menu items under that.
