How can I exclude the Media Library from being searched?

There are a number of past conversations which cover several solutions to the real requirement presented by your original request.

I suggest adding a class exclusion parameter to your search implementation (module vs template operator).

I think the advanced search module offers a very rich set of additional variables (post) you may populate using additional html hidden form variables within your search query submission form. I myself use the advanced search in this way.

I think I would add a search by content class id limitation, SearchContentClassID=42. I use this variable as a list with some secondary issues which may require local modification depending on your needs.

Hi OOzy

Just use the subtree_array limitation for the search.

In future search extensions (aurora/lucene), I'll also make this kind of options far easier (like an array of section id's, array of class id's, ..).

When: before the summer conference ;-)
