Hi,

I posted this as a possible bug, but haven't heard anything. Has anyone struck this? Any ideas on a fix? Thanks.

SITUATION:
- Have used EZP corporate template with "contact" form included.(Version 3.4)

PROBLEM:
- Messages sent from this form on the website do not include the message sender's email address. (ie Subject, Message, but no email address).

ANALYSIS:
- reviewed the content in collectedinfomail.tpl, but it looks as though attributes are collected rather than specified directly, suggesting that this is not a simple error(?)

DESIRED SOLUTION:
A way to include the senders email address ... without breaking the automatic method that appears to be used in collectedinfomail.tpl.

Hi Daniela,

I also followed this up through the bug reporting system, see:

http://ez.no/community/bug_reports/ez_installation_contact_form_does_not_send_collected_email_address

Judging by this I would have thought that it would be all sorted out by now, but I have to admit I have not tinkered with that since my Forum posts on the topic.

I did take a simple approach to bypassing this problem by removing the email field from the class and then adding another textline field which I called "email address". In this way the email address was obtained through the textline, which was included by the infocollector.

Hope this helps. Regards.

- Paul.

Yeah, so i tried everything that is supposed to be a fix for this bug, and still it didnt work, even thou the reports say its fixed.

i also thought about the idea of using textline as the email address, and i think thats what im gonna do. It seems so much easier.

thanx so much paul! :D
