Hello everyone:

I've installed Exponential 3 in my machine, a powerbook Ti 637 with 512MB of RAM and 40GB, running MySQL 3.23.46 and PHP Version 4.3.2 www.entropy.ch Release 8.

The eZ system is running but at such abismal slowness that I guess I must have done something wrong. Has anyone had this problem?

I've had the same problem. I am using Windows XP Pro, 768ram and I used the installer progam with no changes to the setup.

Every page (whether with admin or user) takes 20 - 30 seconds to load and I keep getting the following errors.

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in c:\program files\ez systems\Exponential\lib\ezutils\classes\ezexecution.php on line 157

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in c:\program files\ez systems\Exponential\lib\ezutils\classes\ezsession.php on line 75

Warning: Unknown(): A session is active. You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time. in Unknown on line 0

I installed this to see how easy it would be to put togethor a site. With this problem and the poor documentation I am ready to give up and learn PHP on my own. At this point it might be easier and faster. Frustrated.....

Which Exponential version did you try?

Do you get some errors about not being to write to some files?

I've this file: Exponential-3.1-1.tar.gz installed

I'm so curious about the Exponential system that I've changed my machine configuration, wich was ok to begin with but was giving me 20-30 sec per page, to a new one :
? Apache 2.0.47
? MySQL 4.013
? PHP 4.3.2

Everything is working but still I'm getting 4 to 5 seconds per page on fast pages and up to 10 seconds in slower ones. This on a machine that is lightning fast with other CMS's based on PHP and MySQL.

I'm also getting kernel errors in the administrator, described by the system as " Error / kernel (20) " after trying to edit an user. so basically I can't finish the security setup.

My apache server is also generating tons of errors:
