Philip K.	Thursday 06 December 2007 2:51:56 am Hello. I did an update from version 3.9.0. to 3.10.0. All the steps in the upgrading documentation were finished successfully and my site looks very well after upgrading. BUT if I clear all caches using the clear cache button in the backend all the images in page will be deleted. If I clear caches using the shell # php bin/php/ezcache.php --clear-all --purge my images won't be deleted... I have no idea what caused this problem and would be appreciated if someone could help me. Thanks a lot, Philip Linux is like a wigwam; no windows, now gates, and apache inside!
Damien Pobel	Thursday 06 December 2007 6:20:50 am Hi Philip, An idea : When you call # php bin/php/ezcache.php --clear-all --purge it used the default siteaccess settings which is probably not your admin siteaccess that is use when clearing the cache in the backend. I think you have a problem in your settings with VarDir or StorageDir or CacheDir ? André R.	Thursday 06 December 2007 7:31:23 am I'm not 100% sure, but this is fixed in 4.0 and should be fixed in 3.10.1 (in svn/stable/3.10) also. From the 4.0rc1 SDK-Public mail: - Fixed an issue where special chars were saved as unicode entities in the database, this had the effect that: - Export of open content object caused the ODF document to contain unicode entities for example ’ - It also caused some problems with image aliases, where the original alias could be deleted from the filesystem - This issue affects all alpha and beta releases of Exponential 4, but is fixed in this RC1 release. Data created with older releases will still contain this type of information in their databases. - Updates to the updateniceurls script to make it more robust. Hello.

I have no idea what caused this problem and would be appreciated if someone could help me.
