Hi !

I'm completely new to Exponential, and i feel really enthusiastic !

So, first thing to do, install !
And i'm stuck with the database initialization of the version 4.

My host only allows me to create one database. So I just created the one before Exponential installation.

But then, with the wizard, I got this message :
The selected user has not got access to any databases. Change user or create a database for the user.
Indeed, username/password are right, to access/modify the existing database.
But Exponential does not know the database name...
If the wizard tries to create a new database, then I don't have the right.

What can I do to make Exponential work with an existing empty database ?

Thanks !

Did you try reloading the page after inserting user/host/port/pwd? The list of databases that are accessible to the given user should appear

Thanks for you answer, but reloading the page is just like trying to send the form...

But I did not enter any information in the port field.
If this is the problem, where can I find the database port ?

Thanks !

Hi !

I finally bypassed the problem using "MySQL improved' instead of "MySQL", as SQL type.
I just wonder what's the difference between two of them...
