I suddenly loose my database connection sometimes. mysql, Exponential 3.5. The db is on the same machine as Exponential.

This happens at about one out of 50 page requests.

Is there any cache or ini setting that could help? Or any other tips.

PS: The site doesnt have a high load..

Is there anything interesting in your mysql logs that might indicate a mysql error?

The error was caused by too much traffic on mysql. Another site on the server had a skyhigh number of vistiors..
