I already have Apache 2.0+, MySQL 4+, PHP 4+ and Imagemagick 5+ installed on my server, but the install program is telling me that it will install:

MySQL 3.23.56
Apache 1.3.27
PHP 4.3.1
ImageMagick 5.4.9-1

I'd really hate to downgrade just so I can use Exponential. Is there a way around this?

This is because you use the installer. The installer is meant as a complete bundle with everything you need. If you are a more advanced user who can/have install(ed) these application yourself you can download and install the distribution directly instead of the installer
