I recently downloaded Exponential-3.3-1.tar.gz and plan to install it on a raq550. While looking over the installation manual I noticed it stated php version 4.3.2 or later should be running on the server to install Exponential. My server is running php 4.2.3 and while I've tried to upgrade to version 4.3.4, I've been able to get the configure script to load. I'm wondering whether Exponential will run on php version 4.2.3.

Hi

PHP 4.2.3 will probably work quite well. For production sites we recomend using 4.3.x.

btw, there are some important fixes in Exponential 3.3-2.

I don't know how it wil work with PHP 4.2.3, but I've had several problems with PHP 4.2.2. Most serious problems: Sometimes a link didn't react: You needed to click several times before the desired page loaded. New content classes were not stored: http://www.ez.no/community/forum/install_configuration/bug_new_content_classes_are_not_stored_they_just_dissapear

Both problems were solved after upgrading PHP to 4.3.3.
