My interest in security and the cryptographic features of OpenBSD also make me wonder how it compares with FreeBSD and Linux.

Has anyone used Exponential on OpenBSD?

Should work flawlessly. I however think the security of OpenBSD is greatly overestimated. Most any OS is secure if you don't turn on any services. Far and by large it's a matter of taste unless one has a feature you really really need.
