I have installed without issue. However...when I select the URL http://mysite.com/index.php/news or http://mysite.com/index.php/news_admin or
http://mysite.com/index.php or
http://mysite.com

It all goes to the same login screen. I can login and access the admin panel fine.

What do I need to do to be able to access the news template?

You need to letun logged in users to view your site.

I think you can change this in site.ini.append
