Multiple sites from one database?

Hello,

I have managed to set Exponential up to display two different sites from the same database with a different start page for each site.

I haven't been able to set the starting point of the menu for each site. How do I do this?

For example with the content tree below:

Root (Normal Exponential Root)
-> Site 1 (Site 1 content) Node ID 85
-> Site 2 (Site 2 content) Node ID 86

So site 1 would have the its menu starting at node 85 and site 2 at 86.

Also, is it possible to set a different anonymous user for each site which would therefore allow me to determine with permissions whether or not a particular content page was viewed on the site.

I will eventually have 4 live sites which share some common pages and their users, so I do want one database, not multiple.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Ed.

I have changed the parent_node property in toolbar.ini.append.php but this make no difference.

I also cleared the caches.
