As I am debugging my installation (Exponential-3.1.0-1) I have come across several errors that were due simply to the filename being clipped off. I am still on MacOS9 and the filename character limit is 31. So when I downloaded Exponential to my desktop before uploading it to my host's UNIX server several filenamess were clipped. I realise there aren't many of us on this platform but maybe this posting can help.

FIX:
Using Fetch I FTP'd to the files and renamed them on the server. It is pretty obvious what the name is supposed to be but some I don't know what to name them.

here's the few I have found so far:

kernel/classes/ezcollaborationitemparticipantl (What is this one's name??!)

kernel/classes/ezcollaborationsimplemessage.ph
kernel/classes/ezcontentobjectassignmenthandle.php
kernel/classes/ezinformationcollectionattribut
kernel/classes/ezproductcollectionitemoption.p
kernel/classes/collaborationhandlers/ezapprove/ezapprovecollaborationhandler.p

kernel/collaboration/ezcollaborationfunctioncollecti

kernel/content/ezcontentoperationcollection.ph

kernel/notification/eznotificationcollectionitem.ph

kernel/setup/parts/init/ezstep_site_language_options.ph

lib/eztemplate/classes/eztemplatearithmeticoperator.ph

lib/ezxml/sdk/dom_creation_with_namespaces.ph

sdk/doc/contentclass_database_diagram.p

Now back to those other pesky bugs ;-)

Hello Maggie,

I am also using OS9 and would like to try Exponential. But can't find a copy! Can you direct me to where you got your copy please?

Thanks,

Percy

Best thing to do in this situation is getting a webhost with SSH access and untarring the distro right on the server.

You'll find the names on http://pubsvn.ez.no for sure.

(I'll refrain from commenting on OS9 for once ;)

Gabriel,

Thanks for your interest and recommendations! I just discovered that my provider has a new addition 'Fantastico'. It has a good assortment of CMS's.

Thanks again,

Percy
