starting the installation the wizard keeps on telling me that the following folders got insufficient permissions:
settings AND settings/siteaccess/admin
I set the chmod to 777 what else can I do?

I have NO access to the shell as I'm using hosted webspace. I could use SSH access but frankly I have no idea how.

thanks for any help
Norbert

You'll want to get shell access anyway. If you're using Windows, one SSH client is this PuTTY:

From the root Exponential directory you can run bin/modfix.sh to fix your permissions.
