Has anyone been able to successfully install Exponential 3.x on 1and1.com's hosting service?

I'm not able to get eZp to connect to the MySQL database which is located on perfora.net. I'm not sure if it is because it is located on a different server or not.

Looking for the community's experiences and advice.
