Hi -

We are trying to install Exponential only once on a server with chrooted home directories for various accounts/sites (using the control panel Plesk). So we are planning to install Ez in a folder that is accessible read-only to all accounts, and some how make Ez use subdirectories under different accounts for the site/account specific stuff like "design/<site>", "settings/siteaccess/<site>" and "var/<site>". I am not sure if softlinks will do it, or are there configuration settings inside Ez to change the above directory settings for each site. Any pointers from anyone with prior experience on this ?

Another option is to do minimal EZ installations for each site. But the base install of Ez like 30+ megs, much bigger than most packages. Wonder how much of the standard install can be removed, and which specific sub directories can be safely removed (especially the different samples stuff).

Anwar.
