Hi,

Can anyone explain in full how to setup a database from scrath using the latest server programs from Exponential. I got to the bit on the http://localhost/index.php install page where it wants you to enter a MySQL database information. I don't know how to make one so, I can't continue. Can someone please help me.

Thanks

Hi Jonathan,

Where are you installing ez publsh...i.e. on your desktop (windows or linux?) or on some webspace?

If it is on your webspace then you could take a look at:

Hi Jonathan,

you should check the installation documentation:
http://ez.no/ez_publish/documentation/installation.

Is mySQL already installed on your server? If not and if you'd like to install for
testing only, you can use the bundled installation, which installs Apache, mySQL, PHP and
Exponential.
http://ez.no/ez_publish/documentation/installation/bundled_installation

If your server has the neccessary prerequisites, you only have to setup up a database and can then select this database within Exponential's setup process.
I guess that's where you're in at the moment.
See "Setting up a database" in this docs
http://ez.no/ez_publish/documentation/installation/normal_installation/installing_ez_publish_on_a_linux_unix_based_system

Good luck.
