You can change the way aliases are automatically generated in site.ini: [URLTranslator] TransformationGroup=urlalias Settings for each group can be found in transform.ini eZ Publish certified developer http://auth.ez.no/certification/verify/392313

As far as I know, aliases are formed from $object.name, and it is not possible to change the alias of an exisiting node.

You can change the way aliases are automatically generated in site.ini:

[URLTranslator]
TransformationGroup=urlalias

Settings for each group can be found in transform.ini
