I notice that the community release is only a version that has the ez components in the lib directory. And doing a diff of what is delivered with 4.2011 and the pear library there is a lot missing from the pear library which of course hasn't been updated since it became zetacomponents (I guess?) What is available from the zetacomponents subversion repo is of course different from the pear library and from what is delivered with 4.2011.
The version tags are also stripped from what is in the 4.2011 release but as near as I can tell it seems to be the pear library but with extra files/autoloads.
So, maybe I'm over-thinking this, but will every release then deliver it's own version of the components and we' should use that? Or should I (could I) be replacing whats in /usr/share/php with either the zetacomponents or the new stuff from 4.2011?
What's the plan for the future of integrating the components with ez releases?

Anyone?
Or, is this unanswerable because the future of ezc/zetacomponents in Exponential isn't known yet?

Hi Steven,
The ezc version of community edition is the latest version. Exponential has a separate build for ezcomponents(now zetacomponents) because the release time of zetacomponents is not the same as Exponential.
So I guess there shouldn't be much difference between Exponential's ezc and zetacomponents's next version :).

PS: I think this is due to the Zeta Components having gone through a period of change, and hope that for next eZP releases we will be back to using stable ZC releases...

Hello Steven,
The point is definitely not to provide a separate version for each Exponential version. If you compare it with the PEAR version, it is true that there are some differences, such as missing version information. This is due to the fact that the bundled version is not a full packaging of the components.
The only reason why are using a different version here, is simply that there isn't a release from Zeta components yet, which include a couple of a couple of bug fixes we need. The fixes we are in need of right now are
As soon as these are released, we'd like to bundle zeta directly.
Cheers,
Ole Marius
