kenneth kvalvik	Tuesday 12 October 2004 6:15:27 am Hi all! I succeeded in installing ez 3.5a on the web hotel that I use. I have run EZ 2.2 and mambo on the server earlier with no problems at all. But EZ 3.5a was so extremely slow that I gave up even trying to test it out. I don't have patience to wait at least 30 seconds for a page to load. I'm not quite sure what hardware my web hotel provides, I have to admit. But anyways, is this problem with extremely slow loading only with 3.5a or is my host not up to running the 3.x series at all? Kenneth - who might be going back to Ez 2.2 - once again.
Paul Borgermans	Tuesday 12 October 2004 6:59:42 am Hi Kenneth, I'm 100% sure this is due to template compiling which is not finished. After all templates are compiled it will be a lot faster. Do you have shell access? If yes, run the bin/php/eztc.php -s <your siteaccess> script to "prepare" your site in this respect -paul eZ Publish, eZ Find, Solr expert consulting and training http://twitter.com/paulborgermans
