An Exponential site I'm doing some maintainance to refuses to run in version 4.3.4 of PHP.

The error given is:
<b>Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class ezsys in /Volumes/Files/Documents/_Maxus/websites/www.xpoculture.com/lib/ezutils/classes/ezsys.php on line 63

Fatal error: Exponential did not finish it's request

The execution of Exponential was abruptly ended, the debug output is present below.</b>

I have tried downloading and setting up the last version of Exponential (3.3-4), but that didn't help.

This is with a Mac, running Apache/1.3.29 (Darwin) and the latest release of PHP from www.entropy.ch.

Hi,

I don't run a Mac, but I have run Exponential 3 on php 4.3.4 and 4.3.5 on x86 and they both work. It looks like it might be a Mac php build issue. I don't see any Mac specific fixes in php 4.3.5 http://www.php.net/ChangeLog-4.php#4.3.5 but it might help.

Sorry I can't be any more help

Thanks Tony, for the advise!

I'm afraid upgrading to PHP 4.3.5 is not an option for me, yet.

This issue has persisted ever since I installed Mac OS X 10.2 to v10.3. It' odd that only Exponential is affected, though... If the EZ team plans to support the Mac OS X 10.3 platform, they should look into this issue.

FWIW, I have managed to "work around" the problem by downloading and installing Exponential on my Windows PC.

It still would be great if Exponential would run on the Mac as well.
