Hey all:

I am getting the following error when I am trying to install the script. It occurs right after the 'register your site' page.

Can anyone help me figure out what the problem is and how to fix it.

Configuration:
FreeBSD 4.8
Apache 1.33
PHP 4.3.10

Error Message:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30
seconds exceeded in
/pub/home/gershom9/htdocs/main/communiques/
kernel/common/ezi18noperator.php on line 181
Fatal error: Exponential did not finish its
request

The execution of Exponential was abruptly
ended, the debug output is present below.

Please read http://www.ez.no/ez_publish/documentation/installation/normal_installation/requirements_for_doing_a_normal_installation

IMPORTANT - PHP memory_limit issue
Exponential requires at least 12 MB (in some cases 16 MB). This means that you'll have to increase the default memory_limit (in php.ini) from 8 MB to 12 or 16 MB. In some cases Exponential requires even more memory - for example, the PDF export needs quite a lot.

First guess is that your memory_limit is too low

<i>First guess is that your memory_limit is too low</i>

Accoding to the phpinfo the memory_limit is set to 32M, so I doubt that this is the problem.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

Have you set high value for max_execution_time in php.ini?

The value is set to 30. Is that enough or should it be set higher?

Thanks,

John

Should be higher, 90 for example, because with 30 you have error
