Hi all,
Great product (from what I tried) - used the wizard and ran through easily (don't tempt fate) except for one thing - I wanted the install to be in the root of my public_html folder .....BUT by default this has the good old cgi-bin and bin folders.
This of course is my prob ...the bin folder already there conflicts with the bin folder of EZ version 3, and so I can not install into root ....... unless someone has a suggestion (btw the bin doesn't allow me to transfer anything in there using normal ftp access - I do have superuser access remotely via SecureFTP and termemulator ....any help ?
BTW - dont try and leave the user directory name blank as I did in the wizard as you get the dreaded double slash
domainame.co.uk/home/index.php//content/versionview/1/1/
never mind another small limitation
Thanks for your help
Dimitri

Apache / Linux newbie on the loose - got Superuser access and transfered the folders and files in the EZ bin folder to my bin folder on the website - but ...will this work ? will ez be able to read, execute these properly as on normal FTP access these folders and files don't show (permissions I guess).
Are they needed in 'normal' operation of the site ?
Please help as I shall have to go down the install under a directory route option otherwise ....
Also - on a standard install I gave the users site the name 'home' to use and admins 'managers' - but under 'users' in admin area it gave bad links and didn't show the images of the user groups ??? - on clicking a link it did this with the address:
correct:website.com/index.php/managers/blah/blah/path
links it gave that didn't work:website.com/home/index.php/managers/blah/blah/path
has anyone else experienced this - the wizard was fine and permissions were manualy set to 777 for the 3 folders recursively
Thanks chaps
