403 Forbidden erreor when using host Site Access

I'm trying to use admin.example.com (example) to access my admin site, but all I get is a

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

It seems that since I'm i a subdomain EZ can't find the index.php that it's looking for...or something....

please bear with me....just a newb.....;)

Ok....thanks....got rid of the 403, but got a 404 instead. Since I do not have access to the http.conf I need to use an .htaccess to get this done. Used the .htaccess_root to get permission, now I only have to find the document in my subdomain....
How should my .htaccess look? And is this the correct solution?
