3.8.6 sendmail not delivering mail, no debug output found

Hello,

in 3.8.6, i have my settings/override/site.ini.append.php:
[MailSettings]
Transport=sendmail
AdminEmail=rob@mycompany.com
EmailSender=

the siteaccess/<mysite>/site.ini.append.php:
[MailSettings]
AdminEmail=rob@mycompany.com
EmailSender=

When i fill a form, i get no errors. Debug output (via popup by ip) does not show any errors.

next, i check var/log/warning.php:
"Array to string conversion in /home/xyz/public_html/lib/ezutils/classes/ezmail.php on line 831"

No errors regarding mail in error_log. Any assistance appreciated.

This is a server with sendmail believed working, php-cgi mode.

disregard. appears my virtual host is trying to deliver it locally even though i only had the website parked there (and the MX record was elsewhere).

There are some warnings i still get in ezmail and ezsendmail, but its working..
