Dear All,
I am havign PHP4.3.6 installed on the dedicated server that runs my ez website , i need to install a PHP Accelerator software to enhance the performance fo the website ,since it is really slow!:(

Do any body know one that works with the current version i have of PHP.

On The other Hand i found an accelerator that is working with PHP4.3.0 , does that one work with 4.3.6 also ?

Looking forward to hearing back from you
Thanks

Hi!

You should upgrade PHP to a version above 4.3.10, since some very serious security holes exists in previous version.

As far as I am aware both MMCache and APC works under the newest PHP versions.

APC
http://pecl.php.net/APC
- for UNIX type o/s only

eAccelerator/TurckMMCache http://eaccelerator.sourceforge.net
- for UNIX and Windows

eAccelerator works great on PHP 4.3.11 / Win32. I see roughly a 70-80% speedup in Exponential page rendering with eAccelerator, down to about 0.1 seconds in total for the most complicated pages when caching and template compile are enabled.

Use eAccelerator.

There are versions (here is a link: http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/freshrpms/fedora/2/php-eaccelerator/php-eaccelerator-4.3.10_0.9.2a-0.1.fc2.fr.i386.html) that include support for 4.3.6 and up.

You REALLY do need to upgrade. Your box is at risk for gettin' hacked.
