Package export and import

Hi all!
I exported a content class into a package, the packagefile myFile.ezpkg could be downloaded to a lokal directory.
But how to import the package to an other system? I tried it with a different system: Setup->packages->import package. I selected the file and clicked 'import'. But nothing happens, the package is NOT listed in the package list, so it can't be installed!
I tried this with different systems (all eZ 3.3-3) and both content classes and styles.

Export works, import not.
Any help for my problem?
Thanks,
Sebastian

On your new system have you set the permissions for the var directory correctly? When importing eZ will place the package within that directory.

I get the following error when trying to import (upload) from admin a Styles package:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /usr/local/apache/htdocs/ez/kernel/classes/ezpackage.php on line 1479
Fatal error: Exponential did not finish its request
