I've quickly put together a small tutorial on user registration. I've marked the document for 3.1 and 3.2 usage but i think it applies to 3.0 as well.

Please provide feedback if it is helpful or if needs more focus in specific areas. I can see places where it would be helpful it the document was broken out into
others...

More on assigning of roles would be good. IE how to assign roles/groups based upon what information the user entered in the form. Done through a workflow event. If you don't I'll pass on my code when I have finished (its what I'm doing right now).

Ah, thats something we are not using at the moment. If you could add to the documentation for this that would be great.
