I have a big client that wants to add multilingual support to their site, this includes translated site templates for navigation buttons. They want a dropdown box or link select on every page that allows a visitor to choose their language. How do i go about this? Are there any resources that walk me through how to do it with Exponential 3.0?

Thanks in advance... Ryan

One way of setting up a multilingual site is to create one siteaccess for every language. This siteaccess will then set the ContentObjectLocale you want to use for that specific site.

E.g.

ez.no/norwegian ( ContentObjectLocale=nor-NO )
ez.no/english ( ContentObjectLocale=eng-GB )

Exponential will then prefer to show a norwegian translation on the norwegian site. If it does not exist it will show the default translation.

To get the dropdown you only need to link to the same URL, but with a different URL prefix.

This setup works with a 1-1 translation. If you want different content on the different sites you need to build two different directory structures.
