wakaster waka	Friday 27 May 2005 1:19:12 am Hi There, I am currently evaluating some Opensource CMS (or paid ones but we are looking first for Opensources) against some specific needs and specs. Exponential is within the short list. However, I have two specs wich do not seems to fit with Exponential possibilities (although it does answer positively with most of my specs and maybee it is just something not available out-of-the-box.) It seem that all Exponential offer some content types (News, Articles, Files, ... ) but it doesn't seem to let you create new content type or to modify current ones. In what extend is it possible to find a tool where I can: - create new content type and/or modify current ones - adding some new attributes to these types - use predefined tags or labels which can be aply to items so to build up specific search with these in combination with attributes and/or categories and/or type of content) The idea behind is to be able to defined a bit more attributes (new field attached to the items) to the content types like: 'Source' of information, an image (like the cover of a report), or a category of document (Bulletin, report, Snapshots, .... ) or a keyword. this would then enable us to search/filter items in regards with one or more attribute/keyword/category and offer to the visitors/members other possibility to extract information. Exponential has very powerfull search engine. You can mark attributes as searchable, you can also add keywords attribute, which will automaticly make releations between objects of the same class, this is usefull when you want display realted content.
