Well guys, perseverence pays off. I got it installed (thank goodness for a FreeBSD box I've got). I think the turned out to be the problems Exponential has with MySQL 4.1. Rolling back to 4.0.22 solved the problems I was having.

So I'm going through the tutorial now with 3.5 RC1 and things are working well. My site is 'ezpTest' in siteaccess (with 'ezpTest_admin'). Whenever I upload an image I get this message on the resulting page. Pay close attention to the module it's trying to request:

Module not found

The requested module ezp could not be found.

Possible reasons for this are.

* The module name was misspelled, try changing the URL.
* The module does not exist on this site.
* This site uses siteaccess matching in the URL and you didn't supply one, try inserting a siteaccess name before the module in the URL .

The image *does* get uploaded to the selected place (Choosing Automatic in the dropdown doesn't seem to work... places all images in the root of the media library (instead of the expected Images directory).

So I have to use my back button to get back to the article I'm attempting to attach the image to. Can anybody provide insight (or let me know that this issue is fixed in RC2)?

Thanks,
chicken

Hi,

I think that this is a redirecting problem in admin area. This bug was reported, today we expecting Exponential 3.5 RC2, so please be patient

Thanks for the reply. The bug is still in the trunk (Revision 10292). So I assume that this bug will remain until 3.5 release (or RC3)?

Dave,

Exactly what are you trying to do? I tried to upload an image while editing an article (with the upload new button). The image was placed in the correct folder and I was returned properly to the article edit screen. (trunk 10301)
