Exponential Now vs Exponential 3.x.x

Hi (first time poster and ongoing evaluator of eZ!),

I see that Exponential Now is versioned differently (as I understand it) from the "full" downloadable Exponential 3.x.x I can get from the site itself - is this a misnomer in that Now will indeed still use the latest eZ Build but it is being marketed a product in itself which is at 1.x lifecycle?

Thanks

Neil

Hi Neil,

I guess you are talking about the "ez web interface" - the ezwebin extension. The ezwebin extension was developed by eZ Systems to provide you an out-of-box site package when installing Exponential. It's similar to the "plain site" package, however, the entire "ez web interface" was developed as an extension.

In order to keep track of the changes of "ez web interface" extension, it has been assigned with a version. The version is different with the Exponential build version.

As for "Exponential Now", actually, it's a service package of eZ Systems based on Exponential build and the "eZ Web Interface".

I hope this answers your question.
