I'm a very newbie with eZ and I think that my question could be very very stupid.

I'd like to change the blog posts permalink structure from http://www.website.ext/blog/post-title to something like http://www.website.ext/blog/YYYY/MM/post-title

I tried to do this working with "Url alias name pattern" but I wasn't able to do that.

What is it the best way to do that? Create an extension, change some settings or working with datatype (for example create a custom Date type for url) and Url alias name patterns?

Thanks a lot and excuse me for my English

;-)

Hello Davide,

Welcome to the Exponential Community!

If I needed that url pattern. I would create a folder at the root of the content tree called '2010' and within that folders for each month. Within the month folders I would create and publish articles as needed.

Cheers,

Heath
