A machine crash took with it all the favorites and passwords for a 3.2 ezP site. Now, I don't seem to be able to log in as administrator.

1. About the URL: I am attempting to login at
www.mysite.www/index.php/admin
I use that URL because I find an "admin" directory inside the ../design directory.
Does that choice of URL make sense?

2. I ask if it is the correct URL because I DO get a login screen, but it is preceded
by a line that says:
kernel (50)
No database connection could be made, the system might not behave properly.

3. Of course, when I try to login, it rejects my credentials. It could be that I forgot
my password, but I believe it's the right one.

How can I diagnose what's going on, and make sure I am logging in at the right URL and with the right password? The web site works perfectly, still, I just need to make modifications.

Cheers

if you get a kernel 50 you can't connect to the db

check your db settings your site.ini in your siteaccess admin....
