hello,
i am considering to use ex publish ... my webserver doesn't allow 3rd level domain, like bookstore.myname.com, could i use Exponential???

Yes, you don't need to set up Exponential with subdomains. You can have Exponential set up on different ports or just as a part of the URL, for distinguishing the admin/user site.

e.g. mysite.com/admin mysite.com/www
