Under eZ Newsletter 1.5.3, I've got a subscription list which I intend to only allow registered system users. But when someone who is not a user registers for the newsletter, they are added to the subscription list as soon as their click the link in the verification email. The subscription settings are:

Login steps: Confirm and approve user
Require password: Yes
Allow anonymous users: No
Automatically confirm registered users: Yes
Automatically approve registered users: Yes

I've cleared the cache, and verified both before and after register_subscription that the subscriber is not a user. What have I done wrong? Thanks!
