Why did not EZ skip the php 4.4 version of Exponential

Frankly I don't see the point with making a php 4.4 version of ez when the latest major Linux distributions already comes with php 5?

FreeBSD(5 STABLE) php 5.0.4
SUSE 9.3 php 5.0.3
Fedora Core 4 5.0.4
Mandrake (latest beta) 5.0.4

Probably because the gap between 4.3 and 5.0.x is larger than between 4.4 and 5.0.x.
